A Little About Me
Hello I am Emily Bussey-Weaver, and I am a wife and mother of 4 children. I have spent majority of my life in Edgefield, SC and Augusta, GA. For years I was a Finance Manager, Store Manager and Property Manager. I decided to take a job offer as a Property Manager in 2017 for USC and that is how Columbia became my new home. In 2018 after giving birth to my 4th child, I decided to take over my mother’s cleaning company she started in the small town of Edgefield back in 1986.
Now to take it back to how I got in the cleaning industry, I would follow my mom to houses and watch her clean their homes, do their laundry and even dry clean for them. I never thought in a million years I would be doing this same business. I was between the ages of 12 and 13 when my mother got offered commercial properties to clean and I would clean these offices and say to my brother that one day I would be managing one of these offices. Things came full circle and I was indeed managing a few of those locations in my hometown as a property manager, as a store manager and as a finance manager. Wow, the power of words and truly believing in what you say and see and having faith in God. But in following my mother to these jobs, I saw an area that my mother was missing and wanted to take the business to that level while keeping her moto that parents should be able to work and be in their children’s life and apart of the day-to-day activities of family life.
So fast forward to 2018 Cleaning Co Ladies was born. Cleaning Co Ladies consisted just 2 team members and that was my daughter and I. We built up a reputation and quickly grew into a 6-figure cleaning company with just the 2 of us and a little help here and there from subcontractors. I decided to revamp the business and went back to the drawing board and MaidSenseSC was born. MaidSenseSC is exclusively a subscription-based cleaning company dedicated to Airbnb, Quick Turns, Pressure washing services and window washing services. While we do offer one off cleanings thru Cleaning Co Ladies and contract commercial services through Cleaning Co Ladies as well, MaidSenseSC is strictly subscription based. The subscription is renewed every 6/9/12 months and has an option to upsize or downsize.
What makes MaidSenseSC different is that our hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am to 12 so that parents who work for us can be home on the weekends and enjoying their families. My mother’s moto will forever be a part of this business even though she has retired and turned the business over to me. I believe in everything she believed in from “A clean space just makes sense” to “A clean home and an organized home equal a peace of mind” and lastly “Parents should never miss a milestone, recital, game, etc due to long ours at work”. MaidSenseSC was created for parents needing side work, by a parent knowing the importance of time who saw her mother make time by pushing aside her career and taking on cleaning jobs, so she never missed a moment of her children’s life.
